Licensing

We offer 3 different kinds of licensing at Village: Standard, Webfont, and App Embedding.

Each foundry has their own license terms and tables, although there is crossover in several instances. Not all foundries offer all 3 kinds of licensing from Village. Please refer to foundry-specific licensing pages for full details.

This is a general overview of the 3 kinds of licensing, and what they cover.

All licensing is one-time, perpetual, and cumulative.

If you license a single Style (or more) of a typeface, then return later to license the complete weight pair, All Styles, or a Set, the cost will be reduced by the amount already paid. This is covered by our Taste Test policy. When you log in to your account, you can manage Taste Test licensing and extend licensing to cover additional Seats, Uniques, Views, or Apps.
